To ensure you feel comfortable and supported Dr Abi works closely with Alice who is an experienced Registered Nurse and Midwife.
Dr Abi provides education and support to women for optimising health before conceiving. She is experienced and confident in managing both low and high risk pregnancies. Forest Women’s recognises the value of midwifery care and continuity. We provide a unique model of pregnancy care where Dr Abi and her Midwife Alice collaborate to provide women with skilled and holistic care at each visit, respecting and supporting women’s birth choices, and following up post natally.
Dr Abi also manages a wide range of Gynaecological conditions. Alice supports and assists Dr Abi ensuring you feel comfortable and supported during any procedures performed in our treatment room.

Pregnancy Care
- Pre pregnancy health checks to support and educate women to optimise health prior to conception
- Pre-conception counselling for women with pre-existing medical conditions
- Management of early pregnancy complications
- Management of both normal and high risk pregnancies
- A unique and holistic model of pregnancy care combining Midwifery and Specialist Obstetric care at each visit
- Supporting women who wish to achieve a vaginal birth after previous caesarean section (VBAC)
- Support for women considering the option of Maternal Assisted caesarean section
- Debriefing and support for women who have had previous traumatic birth experiences
Gynaecology Care
- Abnormal menstrual cycles and heavy menstrual bleeding
- Investigations for infertility
- Ovarian cysts, uterine polyps and fibroids
- Cervical screening / Pap smear abnormalities and Colposcopy
- Contraception choices - including insertions and removal of intrauterine devices (IUD’s) such as the Mirena and the copper IUD. Implanon insertion and removal
- Sexual health checks and STI screening
- Vaginal discharge and vulval conditions
- Endometriosis, pelvic pain and sexual difficulties
